For nine centuries, until the Revolution, Malemort belonged to the bishops of Carpentras, whose summer residence was the château Saint-Félix. The village has kept an old gateway and several fountains and wash houses, including the Grand-Porte fountain, dated 1789 and listed as a historic monument. In summer, a small local produce market sets up on Thursday evenings.
